Solar power is produced as direct current (DC). As it passes through an inverter, which converts direct current to alternating current (AC or wall power), it is “synched” with the sine wave of the alternating current from the utility grid. This harmonic distortion gets amplified by the inverter, robbing your appliances and electrical equipment of efficient operation.
