Golf Courses

Golf courses, particularly those located in Sun Belt states, provide the perfect environment for Green Warrior to install our zero-cost On-Site Energy Systems™ (OESs). These solar utilities can provide power for facilities, irrigation and charging golf carts. Because many golf courses use little or no electricity after dark, golf course customers could be almost entirely independent from utility-provided electricity with Green Warrior OESs.

Solar Power for Clubhouses, Restaurants, Pro Shops and More

There are several ways to incorporate one or more Green Warrior OESs into a golf course. Traditionally, solar systems like the Green Warrior OES are installed on rooftops. Clubhouses, restaurants and pro shops could provide the roof space required to house an OES. Power produced by the OES and optimized with Green Warrior’s proprietary SolarAssist™ technology would be purchased at a steep discount by the host golf course via a solar Power Purchase Agreement, or PPA.

Solar Carports & Charging Stations for Golf Carts

Green Warrior OESs can be used in a variety of applications. One of the most unique and beneficial is the solar carport. Utilizing Green Warrior’s patent-pending racking system, OESs can be configured to create solar powered carports that are a perfect complement to golf courses that rent or permit the use of golf carts. The carport OES provides on-site charging for golf carts and other electric vehicles and also provides shade and shelter from the elements. This is particularly important in warmer climates where sun damage can quickly deteriorate the appearance and value of golf carts.

Grid Tied On-Site Solar Utilities

Golf courses very often have excess acreage along the perimeter of their developed land. Depending on the location of the course, shade factor and average hours of sunlight, these undeveloped, or under-developed plots could be used for larger-scale solar farms. These large OESs are tied to the grid and are used to generate clean, renewable energy that is used by the host facility with the excess sold to the utility.
